Gilroy stained Glass is continuing to offer here in Vancouver the highly acclaimed 2-day weekend glass-painting course that they offered in England.

You will be taught by members of the British Society of Master Glass Painters; Laura and John Gilroy, and will learn techniques and skills of the professional stained glass artist.

Courses are suitable for beginners and numbers are limited to ensure individual attention.

Day 1 is taught by Laura Gilroy and covers the first stage of glass painting, which is creating structure and form through line work. Your work will then be kiln fired ready for the next painting stage, which comprises of tonal work.

Day 2 is taught by John Gilroy and continues the tonal work of the first day by covering techniques of stippling, brushing and scratching to create balance of tonal values and contrasts of shade and light.

The course is 2 full days and the fee is $280 plus GST (materials included) with at least one finished project to take home.
