We decided to create a slightly abstracted background of earth tones and greens blending with blues to give a simple sense of the countryside, and to make the Eucharistic symbols of the wheat and the vine the focal point of the window. The symbol for St. Peter and an early symbol of Christianity and of the trinity were used in the side windows to give form and balance.
The window was dedicated by the new Arch Deacon of Bath and Wells who not long before had been addressing along with the Bishop, the crowd at the world famous Glastonbury Festival. He was particularly pleased as his teenage son thought he was now pretty cool as he had appeared on he same stage as Sir Paul McCartney and Joss Stone.
