The Church Council had decided on a Nativity scene, which is usually done within a three-light window or a single one.

How to depict the Holy Family in a two-light window without losing the sense of family unity?

We achieved this by linking the robes of both Mary and Joseph between both sections, and by creating an encircling background design which leads the eye of the viewer from one section to the other and creates unity.
We attended the dedication of this window on Christmas Day by one of the first women priests to be ordained by the Church of England, and it was lovely to see our window blessed on such a special family day.
