This panel was designed to hang within a window space so that the client would be able to take it with her when she moved home. Irises are her favorite flower and she wanted to be sure that she wouldn't have to leave them behind.

We found just the right colour for the flowers from a stock of Hartley woods English antique glass that unfortunately isn't made any more.

We designed the window to allow the eye to flow upward and outward from the leaves to the flowers. The use of neutral background colours and tones of glass that are framed by strong golds really pushes the subject to the foreground.
