St Francis Xavier, Vancouver

Last week was the culmination of twenty months of hard work, with the installation of our Twelve Apostles windows at St Francis Xavier, Vancouver. We are so pleased with how the windows look and how they have changed the interior of the church. It is quite a large space and the strong colour and shape really alters the feel of the interior of the church. It was quite something for us to see all the panels together for the first time as well! The two bay areas are 154 sq ft combined, and we had custom wooden frames designed for the interior recess of each bay that would hold the stained glass perfectly, leaving the original glazing in place as protection to the outside and creating an isothermal system with a gap between the two. The south facing windows get some strong light and we were happy to see how well our art work controlled the glare and cast some beautiful colour. We are looking forward to the dedication ceremony and seeing the parishioners with their new addition to the community.
